Chelsea agree £33m deal to sell Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid after England midfielder rejects huge contract extension

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Gallagher has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer, and it was thought he could be offloaded earlier in the window to help the Blues meet the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability rules prior to the June 30 deadline.

  As per talkSPORT, Gallagher could now be on the move after Chelsea agreed a deal worth £33 million ($42m) with Atletico Madrid for the England international. Earlier this summer, Chelsea had accepted a larger bid from Aston Villa but Gallagher rejected the move.
